Welcome back to Décorieure!
When I started studying Interior Decorating, one of the hardest parts was to realise that there’s beauty in every colour. I have always had a preference for neutral colours: My favourite for decorating is white and my fav to wear is black. Although, I know is just not me, so I’m going to dedicate some posts to colours we don’t normally decorate with, but the result can be beautiful. For today’s post I’m going to talk about yellow.

Yellow is the sunshine; a bright warm colour we find in lemons and flowers. A primary colour we don’t normally see in decor.

I think this colour is amazing even in cold countries, because it’s so warm, that we feel the summer, even when outside is -40ºc.

Since yellow is a warm comfortable colour, it can be convenient in any room and used at any of its tones (bright or pale).

If you want to make a big contrast you can use it with black and/or white.

Making almost a triad, it can be use with any other primary colour.

Even mixing it with natural materials is beautiful. Check out my natural materials post.

Yellow it’s a very convenient colour for early decoration at nursery bedrooms.

Yellow is beautiful, and it’s always an option in decorating that we might ignore. I hope I change your mind with my post and start to see the beauty on it. Thank you for reading, have a happy sunday.

Yellow is a nice bright colour especially after a long winter. It lifts your sperit and can be matched with other colours easily.

That’s right! It’s an amazing colour for winter because after a cold day outside is a bright colour that remains us the sun!

Thank you Nikki 💟💟
Well, the colors depend on what you like. I think every color is beautiful if you find the way to go with the uses of the room, the furniture and the accesories/ decoration. If you see my first post “How to set up your perfect workspace” I give some ideas for home- office. Try including lots of white and choose an other color you love. (Pastels are trend this year).
PS: Love you too! 😘💟
